PROGRESS 0-F THE WAR
BT OA BLB —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Sept. 11, 11.35 a.m. PEKING .Sept. 10. A correspondent with the Kiangsu Aimy says that undoubtedly General Chi (Governor of Kiangsu) is determined to break through at Hwangtu, where there is a bigger concentration of Kiangsu troops than anywhere else on the whole front, and to which reinforcements are constantly being sent. The Chekiang forces, under General. Ini, although always facing odds, occupy an easily defensible position between two Creeks, westwards and eastwards of the railway station. The fiercest fighting on the whole front has taken place in this • sector, where Kiangsu forces, so far, have suffered at least two thousand casualties. The Kiangsu troops twice captured the station, hut each time it was retaken. —Reuter.
