It is reported that the Kiangsuites are attempting to encircle Liuho, and that- excepting for a mile on either side of the road connecting Liuho and Shanghai the town is surrounded by the enemy. Troops are being rushed up from the Chekangite headquarters at Shanghai in the hope of reaching the town before the enemy can gain the road and cut off reinforcements.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
