TRADES UNIONS’ QUEST. LOQKING TO BRITAIN FOR LEAD

The Trades Union Congress agreed to empower the general council, through the International Federation of - Trades Unions, to 'take all possible steps to bring - together the different elements _of the labour movenient in Europe in, an effort to establish solidarity making for world peace. The nresident said communications had been received from France, Italy, arid Germany, showing that the Continental nations ivere looking to Britain for a lead. 1 Unity was most firmly established in Britain. Therefoi’e it seemed incumbent that the British movement should take steps to "consummate the desire and thus fulfil its great destiny
