AMUSEMENT TAX.
PROPOSED REDUCTION. TWO SHILLING TICKETS TO ESCAPE. (By Telegraph—Special to Star.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. The Premier confined his announcement regarding the amusement tax reduction to the total involved, £45,000. The previous reduction enabled shilling tickets to be relieved of the tax, and it is expected that the further proposed concession when it appears in the amending Bill will exempt tickets up to and including two shillings in value.
