COOL BANDITS.
BIG HAUL FROM BANK., BY CABLE—PREBS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK. Sept. 3. Five bandits entered the Jefferson Bank at Springfield, Illinois, alongside the police headquarters. One asked for change of a ! five-dollar bill, and while the cashier was getting this revolvers were produced. A few minutes later the robbers emerged, carrying as loot 26,000 dollars and the bank's firearms.- They escaped without a shot being fired.
