As the result apparently of a misunderstanding as to which of the drivers concerned intended giving the other the right of way, one of the Transport Company’s lorries, driven by Mr. T. Crocker, and a car driven by Mr. R. Castle, of Matapu, collided at the intersection of High and Victoria Streets shortly after 12 noon to-day. Fortunately, no 'one suffered injury, though three children seated in. the rear of the car were considerably frightened by the impact. The lorry was proceeding towards the centre of the town along the main thoroughfare, which the car. travelling north along Victoria Street, was crossing. Neither vehicle was seriously damaged.
