GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD.

The Gisborne Harbour* Board has completed the purchase from the Commonwealth Government J of the Flinders naval base dredging unit’ ’comprising a dredger, tug,, and three barges at a. price of £45,000. ' It is expected that, the vessels will leave for ■ Gisborne! at' about the end of the month.
JUNIOR HIGH-SCHOOLS. '
AUCKLAND, Sept. 3. Satisfaction at the success of the Kowhai Junior High Schbol was expressed by the Education Board today. Its success , was shown by . the. fact that the school was . always ..full and frequent additions to the buildings were necessary. AltHdugh the trial of the system does not expire until the end of the year, from the results achieved to date there is little doubt as to the final result. *
