(by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, Sept. 2. Excitement was caused during the performance: >of the “Gay Parisienne” to-night by an amateur dramatic company. Lily Darby, one of the chorus girls, came in contact with a burning gas jet, which set fire to her dress. She was painfully burned about the neck and shoulders and was conveyed to a private hospital. The progress of the play was not interfered with.
