PRESIDENT ELECTED
BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT ' GENEVA, Sept. 1. M. Motta (Switzerland) was elected President of the Assembly by 45 votes out of 47. His election had the immediate effect of bestirring the delegates. He is a strong personality, a direct and forceful speaker, and a forceful Parliamentarian.
New Zealand is represented on four committees by Sir J'ames Allen, with his secretary (Mr. Knowles) as substitute. New Zealand is the. smallest delegation in the assembly.
