ADDINGTON MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 27. *At Addington market to-day values for fat cattle made another jump upwards, approximately 5s per 1001 b, whilst fat sheep advanced by 2s per head. Fat Sheep.—A keen sale throughout, hardening as it progressed, values on last week being up to 2s per head. Extra prime wethers, 54s to 60s ; prime, 47s to 51s; medium, 42s 6d to 46s 6d; light, 38s to 40s; extra prime ewes, 45s to ols; prime, 39s to 42s 6d; medium, 35s to 38s 6d; light, 31s to 34s 6d; prime hoggets, to 38s. Fat Cattle.—A sharp advance of over £2 per head Avas recorded. Best beef made up to £2 7s 6d per 1001 b; prime, 42s to 455; medium, 38s to 41s; light, 32s 6d to 375; rough sorts doAvn to 255. CRUTCHINGS SALE. Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. report : At the crutchings sale at Wanganui on Wednesday the offerings consisted largely of lower-grade crutchings, mostly seedy and in heavy condition, and the decline is more pronounced in these than in the better grades. Light conditioned parcels show the least decline, occasionally reaching almost par with the recent sales. The range of prices current at the sale is given below: Crossbred, medium to fine to 18d, coarse 13ijd to 14j-d, seedy and inferior lOd to I3d; lambs, medium 14d to 16d. seedy and inferior lOd to 15d; crutchings, good to superior 12kl to lod, low to medium l(h}d to 12d, inferior and verv seedv 84d to lOd. ...
