ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SUICIDE BY POISONING. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TE AWAMUTU, Aug. 28. An inquest was held to-day surrounding the death of E. Richdale, respecting which F. E. Garrett awaits trial on a charge of assault and causing actual bodily harm. Garrett bought a farm, and during the subsequent dispute he struck Richdale over the head with a piece of wood. A few weeks later Richdale was discharged from hospital, but died suddenly within a •week. Evidence taken to-day revealed that deceased purchased poison, evidences of which were found in the body. A verdict of suicide by poisoning while of unsound mind was returned. ‘ ■
