BT CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPTRIOHC NEW YORK, Aug. 25. At Mamaroneck, the qualifying round of the professional golfers’ tournament was played. Parrel, with 143, was first, Kirkwood, with 149, failed to qualify. At Forest Hills, Lott, junr., the national champion, defeated Williams, the ex-American Davis Cup player, 6- 1 —1? 6—l, 1—6.. 6—4. Bain interrupted further playing.
