Ihe official trade union organ describes the conflict as a. clash.of two wills—one. Mr MacDonald’s, .representing the British industrial magnates. and the other the- corporate will of millions of workers. “When the British proletariat gave a quiet ultimatum, M'r.'MacDonald'was obliged to knuckle under,” savs the paper. Similar organs insist that M. Rakovsky gained a nersonal triumph bv addressing the extremist groun of Labour members of the House' of Commons. raising them to such a, furv that they threatened to resign and firdit Mr MacDonald as Bolsheviks. Soviet newspapers prophecy that France, Japan and America ‘will be obliged to follow Britain’s lead.
