THE SUDAN
EGYPT’S REPLY TO BRITISH NOTE.
BY CiBLl —PRJEBB ASSOCIATION —COPYRIQHI
Received Aug. 26, 11.15 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 25. The Egyptian Government’s reply to the last British Note with regard to the Sudan protests against certain clauses of a threatening character. It denies that Sir L. O. Stack, Governor of Sudan, is entitled to take action with regard to the Egyptian army without referring the matter to the Egyptian Government. The latter also denies the allegation that the Egyptian press and Parliament are responsible for the Sudan agitation.—Reuter.
