AWAITING EXECUTION. iV CABLE —PRESS ASSORT ATIO N —COPYRIGHT. Received Aug. 26, 11.45 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 25. Mahon, the murderer, as a. result of a hunger strike is in a serious condition. He has not taken food since his appeal, and is now reported to he virtually in a state of collapse and oblivious to his surroundings. Despite his condition he is forced to exercise, but no attempt is made to forcibly feed him. His execution has been fixed for September 3.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
