THE: LATEST AVERAGES. LONDON. Aug. 24. The- following are the latest averages:— Batting.—Hobbs 66.40, Hendren 65.51. Sandham 59.51. Sutcliffe 54.65. Woolley 48.68. Tate 30.77. Whysall ranks seventh with 47.31 and Hearne tenth with 42.80.
Bowling.—Macaulay took 165 wickets for an average of 11.89 runs- B Tyklesley, 170 for 13.07; Rhodes. 90 for 13.64 ; Tate, 175 for 13.74; Kilner 104 for 13.'/6. Among the others Hovel] was seventeenth with 132 for 17.07. MacDonald eighteenth with 61 for 18.01, Gilligau twenty-eighth with 78 for 19.75.
