CONTESTS IN GERMANY. BY CABLE- PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. BERLIN, Aug. 24. Ten thousand spectators witnessed the greatest international athletic contests since the war. The principal results are :

100 metres. —-Mouben (Germany) 1, Carr 2. Porritt 0. Time, 10 3-ssec. Houben beat the pistol by a metre, but was not recalled. Carr drew level at sixty metres, and made a great effort, failing by a. yard. 200 metres. —C'arr 1, Kreuger (Germany) 2, Rappard (Germany) 3. Carr led all the way. Time, 21 4-osec. Carr and Porritt were enthusiastically received.
