NINE CHARGES ADMITTED
A FORGERY CHARGE
(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 25.' At the Police Court Charles Augustine Scandle, aged 22, pleaded guilty to nine charges of dishonesty. One charge was entering and theft at Newmarket, another was entering with intent to commit a crime, and the others were false pretences and theft, involving £24 9s sd. On the breaking and entering charges he was committed for sentence, and on the others he ivas sentenced to a month’s hard labour, to be followed by reformative detention, not exceeding three years. George Millar. aged 17, admitted torging a post office savings bank withdrawal slip for £3, and he was commit, ted for sentence. He was convicted and discharged for the theft of a bank book.
