SOUTH AFRICANS v. MINOR COUNTIES. 8Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT Received Aug. 23, 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 22. The South Africans in their second mnings made 294 (Taylor 47, Nourse 91). Falcon took five wickets for 103, and Beadsome four fox; 53. The counties won by 25 runs. Much rain fell overnight, and the picket was soft, and was not improved by two rain stoppages to-day. Nourse and Taylor made a plucky effort to retrieve the game, ancl put on 100 in 110 minutes. Nourse compiled a masterly 91 in 187 minutes. Beadsome, a leTt-hander, took the last four wickets for tour runs.—Sydney Sun Cables.
