OVERWHELMED WITH CORRESPONDENCE. CONCERTS NOT A SUCCESS. WANGANUI, Aug. 21. News to hand from Rat-ana by the English mail states that the trip to the Old Country lias been an eyeopener. Up to the date of writing his partv had given eight concerts, hut, added Ratana, “we must have struck London in a lean time, iudging by the attendance at two of our concerts.” Whether it was the poor state of the people or whether they wanted something for nothing he could not state.
