BY CABLE—PRBSB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Aug. 22, 11.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 22 The report of the select committee enquiring into pony racing has been presentd in the Assembly. It recommends, inter alia, that the various clubs now operating under the Associated Racing Clubs lie formed into non-proprietary dubs, and that such clubs form among themselves an association of clubs. It also recommends that the body thus constituted will have power to control its own affairs, including the appointment of officials and the granting of licenses, subject to the rules and endorsement of the Australian Jockey Club; that such an association of clubs be empowered to hear and determine all appeals from the committee or stewards of any club which is a member of the association of clubs, but subject to conditions, and the person affected by such determination will have the right of appeal to the Australian Jockey Club Committee.— Aus.-N.Z.
