WELLINGTON, Atig. 21. , A catalogue of 200 bales of crutches was offered by local brokers today and attracted a large attendance, the buyers including Japanese representatives. Prices for higher grades in the early part of the sale were a tarthmg down, and prices for lower grades ranged from par to a fnrthinodown. The prices realised ranged from iA 4 -d to 164c1, the latter being for balfor scou,, ed crutchings up to loci was refused. Competition was not keen and a good many lots were passed in, the reserves being considerably higher than the buyers ideas of values. Nineteen pence was realised for a classical skirted lot of crossbred A (three bales).

At Waitui on the 7th inst. we held a good sale on account of Mr. J. Johnstone. The herd was practically a .Holstein one.
