The Fire Brigade ball, which was held in the Winter Show hall last night, proved a most enjoyable function, about 76 couples attending. The ball, room was artistically decorated with coloured papers and liags. and the supper tables decorated with spring flowers and evergreens. Ren wick’s professional orchestra supplied the music. The supper arrangements were made by Mrs Foster. During the evening the Mayor presented Mr and Mrs Pettott with a pan- < l basket chairs.
