HAWERA COMPETITIONS.

MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. The Executive Committee of the above met yesterday. The secretary, Mr J. M. Glasson. reported that final arrangements had been made for Mr A. H. R. Amess, principal of the Technical College, Stratford, to act as judge of the elocutionary classes, and for Mr A\ ill Hutchens, of Wanganui, to act as musical judge. Miss D. Joll was appointed official accompanist. On account of the large number of entries received it was decided to hold morning, afternoon and evening sessions, _ commencing at 10 a.m.. <incl i p.m. respeetivelv. Prices for admission were fixed.
