THE HOBBS’ CASE.
* TWELVE MONTHS PROBATION. ORDERED TO PAY COSTS. (IIY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 19. At the Supreme Court George Samuel Hobbs, on six charges under the Bankruptcy Act, was admitted to probation for twelve months and was ordered to pay £B2, the, costs of the prosecution, and £25 as the expenses of the Bank of New Zealand in the action. Hobbs filed a frivolous defence. He was given twelve months to pay.
