BOXING.
FIRPO TO MEET WILLS. NEW YORK, Aug. 14. Luis Firpo (the Argentine heavyweight boxer) has signed formal contracts with Tex Rickard (the fight promoter) for a battle with Harry Wills (the nego boxer) on September 11. At the same time he disposed of his share of the motion picture rights to Rickard for an amount understood to be 10,000 dollars. Firpo, it is understood, gets 37) per cent of the gate, and Wills 27) per cent. THE AUSTRALIAN RING. SYDNEY, Aug. 17. At- the Stadium Harry Young beat George Tosh in three rounds, when the police, stopped the contest. The loser was severely punished. SPARGO OUTPOINTS WILSITER, MELBOURNE, Aug. 17. Spargo outpointed Curley Wilsher, the Canadian champion tenth or weight, in a, twenty-round bout. The loser fought gamely against a sunerior opponent.
