MILK CHEQUE STAMPING. (By Telegraph.—Special to Star.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 13. . A useful suggestion has been made to the Minister in charge of the Stamp Department by Mr. J. R,. Corrigan (Pa-tea). He has asked the Minister if he will repeal the provision in the Stamp Duties Act of last year, under which it is held that orders on milk cheques are liable to stamp duty at the rate of 5s per £IOO, instead of at a. twopenny rate as heretofore.
