STARVING CATTLE. (by TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION ) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 13. In order to save cattle in South Canterbury, which are said to be starving ow ing to scarcity of feed, as a result of drought,, the Canterbury Sheep Farmers’ Union agreed to-night to wire to the Government asking for the free railage of root fodder to that district.
