At yesterday’s meeting of the Egmont County Council, a resoltion striking a rate of 2£d over the whole county was passed.- The provision of the Act allowing for a rebate of 5 per cent, on rates paid prior to- September 26 wall again be taken advantage of. On the occasion of the Moascar Cup match at New Plymouth on Saturday next, between N.P. High School and Te Aute College, the N.P. High School Old Boys’ Association are having a luncheon to which all old boys of the school are invited. Those who intend being present should notify the secretaries before Saturday .morning. Three tenders were received for the lease of the Normanby Town Board’s reserve at Waihi for a period of ten years from September 1, 1924 They were: Mrs. C. C. M. Riddle, £7O per annum; Mr. R. J.
