THE PROBLEM STATED. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Aug. 13, 10.35 a.m. OTTAWA, Aug. 12. Addressing the Toronto Science Congress economic section, Mr J. R. Commons, of the Universitv of Wisconsin. said that unemployment insurance .had .reached its limit. It was felt that the recent and vivid experience of unemployment had directed many leaders of labour and business to the importance of either smoothing out the curve of unemployment or smoothing out the curve of daily wages. The two problems, though different, were related.—Reuter.
