DECISION BY AUSTRALIA. CONSULTING OTHER DOMINIONS. ay CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT MELBOURNE, Aug. 12. The Federal Ministry has decided to consult the other Dominions before it takes action to alter the basis of the British preferential tariff. Some months ago when the Federal Ministry contemplated action the New Zealand Ministry agreed to co-operate, but later, when it was pointed out that the basis of. preference was decided by the 1921 Imperial customs conference, it was agreed to ask all the Dominions to co-operate in a readjustment.
