DROPPED DEAD IN HOTEL. (by TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Au o 12 Samuel Knight, aged 70, a married man, dropped dead in the Market Hotel to-night, ft wus his custom to drink a glass of beer'on the way home from work, and in the act- of paying for his order lie collapsed and died. He had been under medical c-are for heart trouble. FATAL FALL FROM TRAM. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 12. John Whitburgh, aged 64, belonging to Me.thven, fell from a tramcar to-day and died in hospital soon afterwards. He was well kown about the country districts: as “Russian Jack.”
