INTERESTING FIND AT TITAHI BAY. AX ECHO OE THE “SEVENTIES.” While engaged on fencing hi s section at. Titahi Bay recently, a Wellington business man made a strange discovery. At a depth of three feet he came tiooss an 'idu biscuit box containing a number of empty bottles wrapped in’an issue of the London Times, dated July, 1870. Curious to relate, the collection included a half empty bottle of Baxter’s Lung Preserver. Presumably the site had been used as a camping ground by Imperial t.roops, though the finder is not certain on this point, it being generally understood that the soldiers were tjuartered nearer Paremata. However, this incident goes to prove that even in those bygone days the sterling worth of “Baxter’s” as a cough and cold remedy was fully appreciated.
