Stock Exchange sales: New Zealand Breweries debentures, 22s 3d; Bank of -New Zealand, 575; South British Insur•tl3 7s Gd; Auckland Gas Co., 2:ls 5dNational Timber Co., 24s Gd; Muir’s Gold Reefs, 18s Gd. NEWTON KING, LTD. At Douglas, on the 28th ult., the yarding was small, and the quotations are as under: F.m. ewes 20s lOd m.a. ewes 25s 6d, 2 and 4-tooth wethers -•Is, empty heifers 25s to 475. At Waiwakaiho, on July 31, we had a fuIL yarding of store and dairy cattle, practically the whole of which sold. Ihe entry included a line of pedigree and grade stock on behalf of Air J. Cleeson, of Bell Block, all of which realised satisfactory prices. Pedigree cows sold at 40, 50 and 60 guineas, two-year pedigree heifers up to 30 guineas, two-year grade Jersey heifers Ul6 to £lB. In spite of the extra bi<<peniiiiig the dairy sale, taken on the whole, was a good one. A line of twoyear grade Jersey heifers on behalf of Mr Honnor, of Brixton, averaged £ll os. Store cows 21s to 355, forward cows £2 12s 6d, fat cows £5 10s 6d, small wcauor steers 14s 6d, weaner heders cross) 255, empty heifers 34s', springing dairy heifers £6 to ~14 Ids, dairy cows £o to £l4. At Lrenui, on the 28th ultimo, we conducted a clearing sale on behalf of Mr W. J. Marsh. The majority of the cows were unfortunately September and later ealvers, or otherwise a verv high average would have been obtained. lor the cows were on the whole a good milking lot. As it was they realised an average of just on £O. Dairy cows (August-September ealvers) £7 to £l4, later ealvers £5 to £l2 IDs, 18-month emnty heifers 37s 6d, weaner heifers 265. "bulls £2 to £2 10s, f.m. ewes 23s 3d, farm gelding £46, 2-vear filly 235, store pigs 38s. At Kapuni. on the 31st ultimo, on behalf of Mr W. Sharne, the majority of the cow’s sold from" £8 to £l3 10s\ and weaner heifers made £2 12s 6d. At Tai’iki, on the Ist inst., we conducted a successful sale on behalf of Mrs J. Jones. The herd consisted of pedigree and grade Jerseys, the former realising up to 35 guineas and the latter £9 to £l7 10s. \\ eaner Jersey cross heifers made £2 2s 6d, and horses and imnlements sold at o-ood prices. °
