TO BE INCREASED, WHEAT CONTROL TO CEASE. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 7. In the House to-day the Hon. W. Nos worthy said that after Februairy next all Government control of wheat would cease, and it would then be for the millers to import the wheat necessary to make up the local shortage if there was a shortage. The Minister said it was proposed to retain the present duty of £2 10s on flouiy until the House had an opportunity of increasing it to £3 per ton, as the House would be asked to do.
