WEEKLY SITTING. Ihe weekly .sitting ot the Hanera Magistrate's Court was held to-day. Y[r J. S. Barton. S.M., presiding. DEFENCE CASE. uni. A kite was fined 10s and 7s court costs for failing to register with the defence authorities. Defendant, who had reporter} voluntarily, stated that lie did not know he had to register. in view cf the fact that his father was an alien. DRUNKENNESS. -V, first offender for drunkenness was convicted and fined 7s 6d, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. BY-LAW CASES. William Rasseii, who, being the diiver of a motor-car, was charged with failing to drive as near as practicable to the left-hand side of the .road, was lined £1 and 7s court costs. It was stated tnat he cut a. corner when turning on an intersection. Harold Vickers, who was charged with driving a car without a tail light, was fined 10s and 7s court costs. \\ illiam Patton was fined 10s and is court costs for allowing a car to stand without lights attached. Kbr allowing a horse to .stray unattended in Morrissey Street, 0. R. Walker was fined 7s 6d and 7s court costs. • * J. G. Cahill, who was similarly charged, was lined os and 7s court costs.
