SUPREME COURT

PRISONERS SENTENCED. (RY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., Aug. 7. At the Supreme Court the following prisoners were sentenced: Herbert Harold Payne, for breaking, entering and theft at Dannevirke, two years’ gaol; Adolph Ihle, for perjury, one month’s hard labour, the judge stating that the prisoner’s crime was comparatively a minor one of the class. Thomas Hamilton, who had pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking, entering and theft, was sentenced to* three years’ imprisonment on each, the charges to be concurrent, and was declared an habitual criminal.
