DUNEDIN SESSIONS. . INDECENT ASSAULT CASES. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, Aug. 6. In the Supreme Court to-day John McCosker was charged with, on May 3, committing an unnatural offence at Pembroke. There were also two charges of indecent assault and three of common assault. The jury failed to agree and a. retrial was ordered for to-morrow. Walter Butterbee, a married man, was charged w T ith attempted carnal knowledge and. indecent assault on females : (three charges), and indecent assault on males (two charges). All the cases concerned industrial school children employed by the accused, the eldest being a girl 11 years of age. The jury returned a verdict of guilty on all counts and the accused was remanded for sentence. James Dee was charged with committing arson in Dunedin on July 12. The case was unfinished when the court rose. TARANAKI SESSIONS.
