NO CHANGE IN INCOME TAX. PROPOSED LOANS. BY CABLE—PBESB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received July 31, 12.5 p.m. CAPETOWN, July 30. The Minister for Finance announced that there would be no- change in the income tax. The Government proposed to offey . a new stock loan in London later in the year, and an internal loan immediately it -is estimated. There was possibility of the Union having to take steps to restore the gold standard in advance of Britain. The latter required the advice of experts, and the Government therefore proposed to speedily appoint a committee of experts to inquire into the matter and advise the Government thereon. —Reuter.
