NO GROUND FOR DIVORCE. (BT TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.', WELLINGTON, July 29. The judgment of the Full Court in the case of Barker v. Barker is to the effect that the refusal of the wife- to cohabit does not constitute wilful desertion. FALL RESULTS IN DEATH. GISBORNE, July 29. As a result of a fall from a viaduct, George Henry Williams, a farmer, of Raukaroa, lost his life to-night. As the train was nearing Raukaroa Williams stepped off on to the viaduct, but missel his footing an.d fell 80 feet to the n-oflu. He lay there for over an hour, £fad was then picked up and taken to the store, hut he died later. Williams was about 50 years of age. A STORY DISBELIEVED. „ TAIHAPE, July ‘3O. Avith reference to the storv of alleged sandbagging at Taihape as told bv George Cuthbert Turnbull in Wanganui Hospital, the police here state that, the story is absolutely untrue, and there is nothing in it whatever. Turnbull told the same ,story at Hunterville, where he was treated by Dr. Mitchell and advised to inform the police, but he refrained from doing so.
