The balance-sheet of the New Zealand Insurance Company for the year ended May 31 shows a net income from premiums, interest and rents £1,130,497,' the surplus being £187,810. The reserve fund has been increased by £50,000. The directors recommend a dividend of 9d per share, absorbing £56,250, making Is 6d per share for the year, leaving. £153,101 to be carried forward.
