REVENUE RETURNS. EFFECT OF RECENT STRIKE. The railway revenue for the period April 1 to June 21 was £1,482,455, compared with £1,523,890 for the corresponding period of last year. The expenditure totalled £1,185.138, compared with .£1.221,584. The returns a re : —> REVENUE.
Total £1.185,138 £1,221,581 The falling-off in revenue is accounted for in part by the railway strike which took place in April. The expenditure shows a reduction of £36,4-15. The percentage of expenditure to revenue is normal, compared with iho same period of last year.
