EXTRA EDITION.

FRENCH PRESS OPINION. BY CABLE- PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received July 26, 11.30 a.m. LONDON, July ~20. The fundamental differences at the London Conference, which are emphasised by French comments, are summed up in a remark by Le Journal.. that the situation is ~ stationary, and likely to continue so owing to the bankers departing from their province of finance and claiming to interfere in political questions. Le Matin and Ere Nouvelle declare that M. Herriot cannot wait indefinitely at London till a formula is found, as French Parliamentary and public- opinion is uneasy and -bewildered. They state there are excellent French experts capable of carrying on discussions to a. successful issue at’ the guidance of the Minister of Finance. The Petit Parisien declares that Mr. MacDonald last night expressed a desire'to invite Germany to send representatives.—Reuter.
