TRAGIC END.

QUARREL BY LOVERS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, July 24. An inquest was held concerning the death of William Holmes and Geoi’ge Kay, both teachers at the Rotherhithe school. Evidence was given of the former’s engagement to Miss Frankise, also a school teacher, which had been broken off through a quarrel. Holmes never mentioned any quarrel with Kay, hut a letter was found in Holmes’ posset from a firm of solicitors, who demanded payment of three guineas “for service rendered in re yourself and Kay.” Mrs. Kay gave evidence, that Miss Frankise occasionally visited their house.
