HAWERA MALE CHOIR.
MUSICAL COMPETITIONS. The two days’ musical and elocutionary competitions festival, which is being held _ under the auspices of the Male Choir in the Opera House, Hawera, on Monday and Tuesday, August 25 and 26, is causing widespread interest throughout- Taranaki. Entries are coming in freely, and good contests are assured. Enquiries have heen received from Wanganui and New Plymouth, and everything points lo the Hawera competitions being one of the most successful functions of its kind outside the four centres. Attention is drawn to the advertisement on the front page with reference to the closing of entries on August 1.
