The postal and telegraph revenue for the quarter ended June 30 last, compared with a year ago, is as follows (shillings and pence omitted): — 1924 1923 £ £ Postal 326,767 335,728 Telegraph .. 438,260 288,131 Of the latter telephones produced £257,492, compared with £123,009 a year ago. Savings Bank deposits totalled £7,597,610, against £7,635,030 in the June quarter of 1923. Withdrawals this year totalled £7,812,880, exceeding deposits by £215,270, while a year ago withdrawls were £7,094,446, or £540,584 less than deposits.
