DASTARDLY CRIME.

AUCKLAND ZOO ANIMALS POISONED. (by telegraph -press association.) AUCKLAND, July 24. Several animals in the Auckland Zoo have died from the effects of poisoning during the last three weeks. Among the animals were two agoutis, two civet cats, two baboons, and a female zebra. Post mortem examinations revealed the presence of either arsenic or a corrosive poison, which must have been deliberately administered by an evilly disposed person.
