MEASLES.
DISEASE RAMPANT IN DUNEDIN. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, July 23. Regarding measles and the Departmental circular, it is stated here that twenty-five children arriving .in the Athenic had measuies during the voyage, and no quarantine was enforced after their landing. Three immigrant children developed measles after reaching Dunedin, and local contacts are now affected. Theire were about 70 children on the vessel to spread this trouble throughout the Dominion, with the result that the unpleasant illness is rampant at the worst and coldest time of the .year.
