FJRPO HELD UP. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, July 21. Luis Firpo, the heavyweight- Argentinian boxer, and a woman named Blanca Lourdes, listed as Firpo’s stenographer, were held by the immigration authorities on arrival from the Argentine because their passports were insufficiently vised. Firpo’s secretary (Edward Carbone) and Miguel Farrar, his sparring partner, were also detained, and :all were sent to Ellis. Island.

Firpo was later admitted to the United States as. a visitor.
