United States is 112,0<)0,0(M>. Chieagb reports that, according to alienists in the employ of the millionaire fathers of Leopold anj Loeb, the two youthful criminals were suffering from compound insanity It is understood that they will testify at the forthcoming trial that both, youths were reasonably sane individually, but when together they possessed an interlocking personality which impelled them to commit crimes that neither would think of committing if apart. The indications are that the trial will create sensational interest. One paper suggested broadcasting verbal reports of the court proceedings, in that manner enabling listeners-in all over the nation to hear everything as it goes on in court. Judge Caverley, however, announced his strong objection to the proposal, as he expects that unpublished evidence will be given such as young people should not he allowed to hear.— Reuter.
